Capable of 0-60 in 2.3 seconds the shaft fits directly between the 600bhp turbocharged engine and the impeller – revving form 800rpm to 9000 in a split second the shaft needed to be light weight, yet strong enough to take the incredible amounts of torque produced. After heat treating and straightening the shaft then required grinding for bearing/seal fit.
